Vacation time

I’ve had the realization early in my travels that this isn’t a vacation. I’ve chosen a different lifestyle. One that has a current end date but could always be changed depending on circumstances. There’s a plan, but nothing requires me to do this. And more importantly, there’s flexibility based on demands. I say that because I was not sure if I was going to get back on the road today. Decided to, got a load of laundry done, caught up with some friends and spent the early afternoon at The Depot in Wichita with Matt plus Christy and her husband Tony. Totally forgot to take pictures there, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

Left and drove some US highways up north to get into Nebraska and also stayed away from some weather that was popping up in the area. Found my way to a good stopping point and ended the drive in Grand Island, NE.

Didn’t mean to take a dirt road, but I did

I did kick off vacation time, off for the next week as I travel west. It’ll be nice to not put much energy into work for a bit. Looking forward to the down time!
