My main reason for being back in Kansas was to celebrate my sister Kelly’s fortieth birthday. So, after some work in the AM, I headed back to the hometown, picking up some dry cleaning and getting to her house to head up for dinner.

We started off at Newport Grill for family time, got to sit across from my father and nephew. Really nice meal, good to chat with those two as it’s been a while. Matthew is at WSU presently, Dad and he get together consistently to spend some time together which is awesome.

The festivities moved to Dusti’s, a bar in SW Wichita, between there and the party bus, we had a great start to the night. There was a magician performing tricks, which was a nice surprise and made for a lot of fun for us all.

The evening ended at the Wichita Stockyards just down the street and then at The Stop for some karaoke. Overall a really wonderful night getting to celebrate my sister.
