30 years ago (and it still hurts to type that) I took my Senior year high school photos. In one of the shots, I had two of my best friends join me in Brandon and Jake. We all attended college at the University of Kansas and after graduating, did our things. I’ve been able to stay in touch with Brandon over the years, Jake joined the Navy in a medical role and has been serving ever since. Prior to that did some texting with a certain young buddy of mine.

Flash forward to today, Jake and his wife were in town as he’s exploring the next chapter after the Navy. Fortunately, we were able to have some time together at the Bauer house, which included brunch and a lot of time to catch up on life.

Headed south, driving to my home town of Mulvane, KS to see family and friends. Got to have dinner with Kelly and Isaac at their house, then walked the streets of Mulvane with my sister.

Ended up relocating to Matt’s house in town, watched Charlotte FC and called it a night. Excited to be here for birthday week with Kelly and celebrate her turning 40.
