Closed holiday

For the first time in many years, I didn’t celebrate my favorite holiday. April Fools has always been a bit of a tradition but this year, I didn’t try to get anyone. Instead, I spent it continuing to work in the Louisville area.

Parked myself here for most of the day, Heine coffee

Fortunately, next door was a Planet Fitness, so I found some time to get away, do a quick workout, shower and head south to grab some groceries at Whole Foods. Found myself working there for a bit as well, had their hot bar for dinner. I never really expected to be this busy with work, but I’m grateful for it as the purpose and time really gives me a chance to stay mentally occupied.

Never really knew how many beans there are…

While at Whole Foods I sat next to a guy with the Louisville men’s soccer team polo on. Asked him about a watch party and he said Flanagan’s Ale House. Nice, I thought. He couldn’t make it but I was going to hopefully meet up with some people who were fans, chat them up and enjoy a nice match as they faced Lexington, just down the road.

Watch party for one…

Unfortunately for me, I was the only one there to watch the match. They had a fun trivia night and about 10 teams participated. Ended up just enjoying both but unfortunately didn’t make any new acquaintances. Still, a good day and a fun evening was had!
