Oh what a difference a day makes. I stacked some golf over a few days to get some states checked off. Today was a fun one as Chris and his son William joined me for a round of golf in Missouri.
Fortunately, we had a nice mid afternoon lunch at the clubhouse, then headed back to the house. Got a little nap in, hung out and enjoyed some bourbons with Chris. Always good to golf a round with a friend, so much so that I may have to do it again soon…

And in traditional Midwest hospitality, it was cool, extremely windy and a harsh reminder that you can golf well one day and absolutely fall apart like wet toilet paper the next day.
Woke up and got to the area, grabbed a coffee and headed over to the Moore house. We chose Innsbrook primarily because 10+ years ago Chris worked at the community as the CFO. Innsbrook is a bit of a resort, touted as a multi-lake oasis with the course, plus horse stables, nature trails and a lot of amenities. I learned a lot about the area after we took the “MOON” path to get there, well, we tried to.
I parred the first and then everything went south from there. Double bogeys galore, ended the round with an 85 but it’s a par 70 so it looks better than it was. I kept trying to play the wind and it just played me. Very disappointing round, consistently missing greens short and in most situations never had a chance to hit the green to begin with. I do remember a par 3 where I hit on the front edge of the green to just watch the ball roll backwards about 25 yards.

| Course was in fair condition, given the season I’d say it needs a few weeks to get in good form |
