After my last round, I was hoping for some great weather. Luckily, the temps had warmed. I stayed right across the street from the entrance to the course and upon arriving at the parking lot realized…no one was there.

Walked around the outside of the clubhouse, all doors locked. I was planning on walking anyways, but had that moment of … should I still golf? Fortunately after about 15 minutes Kevin showed up, we chatted and $35 later I was off. Elevation around 7,000 feet so I was in for a journey. Course is what you’d expect from Wyoming - rugged, flat and not a lot of lush.

I had a really strong front 9, I did play from a closer tee box to try and build some golf confidence. And it was starting to pay off until the 6th, where I lost the ability to find the fairway. It didn’t help that none of the greens had the flag in the hole. I’m not sure why, wind maybe? But I had to put each flag in as I got there. Went +5 during a 5 hole stretch but pulled back some good moments on the back until…I went +5 again for 4 holes before the 18th. Amazing how you can lose the plot. The final hole is a par 5, into the wind. Hit a great tee shot and was about 200 yards out. Roped my 4 hybrid and was 10 feet for an eagle. And, like every putt today, I left it short. 82 overall, but really played like a 86 for my handicap.

Got to Rock Springs to shower, grab some groceries and take the long way to Provo, UT through Ashley National Forest and the Flaming Gorge. Some of the most stunning views I’ve ever seen in person.

| The Reservoir was amazing to see, plus the sunsets never disappoint |
Got into Provo as the sun set, after seeing some animals considering introducing themselves to me without my desire. I’m trying not to drive in the dark for that very reason and made my way to sleep after arrival.
