I knew this morning I wanted to work somewhere non-traditional. I had scoped out a Park online the night before (Capitol View) and got up early to drive over and check it out. Liked it, but wasn’t feeling it as it was more of a sports complex than nature. Left and did something for the first time in a while which was grabbed some Dunkin coffee.

| The romance of Dunkin |
I don’t know why I have a road trip affection for Dunkin. The coffee is fine, so it’s less about that and more of the fact that when I was in my early adult years, there was no Dunkin near me. So whenever I got it was only because I was traveling. Flash forward and of course, Charlotte has a ton and so do many other areas as the franchise got out of the northeast and went across the US. Needless to say I still enjoy it for a little emotional feel good.
Pivoted to another park (Cove Springs) in Frankfort and this was the jackpot. Views, nature, trails, everything I wanted. Worked out of the van until lunch where I took a good hike around the property. Had lunch at a picnic bench and just enjoyed all that this lifestyle affords.

After packing my bag for a shower, I realized I was on my last of a clean clothing attire, so I ventured over to Mom’s Laundry for some washing. Kept the work going, got everything folded and put away and left Frankfort to head west. Drove through downtown on my way out, liked it, but a pretty small area overall and did not have much going on.

Made it into the Louisville area and 3rd Turn Brewing. And although the red ale was not consumable, I did enjoy a nice porter there. Really cool venue, was in a repurposed church in Jeffersontown, KY. Ended up staying local and finding a place to sleep for the night.
