Locally visited

I was fortunate enough that I chose a place to sleep the night before that was exactly where I wanted to be first thing the next morning. Didn’t really plan in that way, but it fell into place and that’s always a plus. Decided to check out the Southland Street area and a bagel shop for the morning to work.

Definitely a local vibe and a really good breakfast bagel

Work has been getting busier, which I like as it gives me some activities to do during the day. Decided to make a quick relocation over to the Warehouse District to walk around. Some good spots there, nice coffee shop, restaurants, a brewery and such. Worked from the van for a bit and then headed out to get some new bottles of bourbon. Grabbed a Woodford, E.H. Taylor and a Toasted Peerless all while talking to my father whose birthday is today. Had a great chat, always appreciate him and our calls.

A few sights from the Warehouse District

Ended up moving on and relocated to Frankfort, KY where I got some reading done, completed a class for work, grabbed some golf supplies at Dick’s and called it a night. I like Lexington, good sized population at around 350K plus a metro over 500K. I just don’t know if I’d enjoy that the city seemingly revolves around the college there. For now, it’s a nice getaway, but not a place I’d move to.
