I had a great conversation this morning with one of my guys, Brandon, about how the experience is going so far. Largely, I’d say it’s been what I had hoped for. I’d say the biggest early win was some socialization but in the last few days, it’s not been a focus. Not that I have to do that daily, but…it’d be helpful. I had some great phone calls last night with some close people in my life. All to say, I’ll be working this weekend on being more intentional with finding social opportunities.
Ultimately, the standard social settings I’ve seemingly gravitated toward I’ve leaned away from. Working on balancing my alcohol intake so the bar/brewery scene and I have not yet met this week. Anyways, it’s a goal for next week. For now, the rest of this week is pretty full.
Left the town of Spring Hill and continued south to Columbia, TN. Pretty similar in population, has some elevation change. Work was busy during the middle of the day so I found myself a good place to work (Cabin Coffee Co.) and got after it for a few hours.

I think for a smaller sized town, I’d like to be inside the “loop” that a city has to offer. Interstate 840 runs south and around Nashville and, likely, would need to get closer to the city. I’m about 40 miles or an hour from the middle of downtown Nashville and likely is not feasible.
Took the scenic route south, where I ended in Huntsville, AL for the night. Grabbed a beer and some pizza at Yellowhammer Brewing. Another full day work-wise but not much else after the fact. Tomorrow I start the first of (hopefully) 48 states being golfed.
