Border Time

I’ve always enjoyed Louisville. That’s likely a phrase I could utter for many other locations I’ve come to experience. But during this time, the travel takes on less of a vacation vibe and more of a lifestyle. And that’s been important to me, I have to remind myself that I’m living this life not in a way that is vacation-driven but rather the reality of my current state. With that, I ventured to one of my favorite spots - The Highlands area. Baxter Ave, then Bardstown Rd is one of my most enjoyable areas in the city. Found a coffee shop and got caught up on some much needed personal work. Planning April, journaling, reading…all the necessities.

“Who” chose that wallpaper…

After some time, started to get a little anxious about some pending decisions, so I decided to walk the street away from downtown. Stopped along the way at some cool areas, explored, read a bit, finishing a book and got my mind a bit centered.

The sights and stops along Bardstown Road

From there, I found my way to another neighborhood in the area, Shelby Park. Checked out a brewery, got super tired but powered through. Got to spend some time on the phone with a friend and then had dinner plus a drink at a spot across the river in IN. Given I’m golfing in Indiana on Tuesday, I wanted to be in the area.

And of course, beer

Looking forward to a Monday across the river to see what the IN suburbs have in store.
